Now UPites and Biharites can read any signboard in Mumbai!

I wonder, will changing the signboards to Marathi in Mumbai, help anyone?
May be not. It was successful in Karnataka because Kannada had it's own 'lipi'
But Marathi is written in devnagari.
So, in turn Raj Thackeray's move will help even the illiterate migrants from UP and Bihar.
Now they can read any signboard!

Govt empolyees get 21% pay hike!

Central Govt employees get a huge hike in their salaries, which is long due, in comparison to the private sector which has been seeing huge growth over the last few years.
But I wonder what if the govt takes into account the huge bribes some of the govt babus earn every month! 21% hike will look like a peanut in comparison!

Mad rush to announce rewards; everyone wants a piece of limelight!

Funny, how all the state govts, who are least connected with Mr. Bindra, are rushing to announce lakhs of rupees as reward! Everyone wants a piece of limelight. Is this the way to promote/encourage sports in India? Definately, this is not the right way to aim for Olmpics gold.
No point in riding on, an already successful sportsperson. Back the talented sports person who're struggling financially; who are uncertain about their career and future!

Why not fine people who feed corrupt police?

BMC (Mumbai's civil governing authority), has been famous for numerous goof-ups and famous funny decisions. The latest law is to fine anyone who feeds a stray dog! I wish they make a law to fine anybody who feed the govt babus, police...etc with bribes!

Cricket-crazy nation grabs a sporting hero!

Suddenly people realised that there's more to sporting life than just cricket.
Golden boy Bindra made it all possible with his Olympics gold.
This nation of cricket-crazy billion people will need more than one Bindra to erase the obsession, that is called CRICKET!

Raj Thackeray, now targets Bollywood

There are politicians who don't hezitate to create controversies even when there's none, just to stay in the news. Raj Thackeray, who made a promising debut in the political arena, seems to be one of them. If he feels film world makes fun of the Maharashtrian characters, then he should watch Dada Khondke movies first. He never hezitated to make us laugh by creating all kinds of characters. I wonder, how authentic it would be to show a North Indian bai in a Mumbai scene!
Bollywood is one of the most cosmopolitan and secular work places in India. And some people are hell bent on making divisions there, just for their petty selfish intentions!

Don't kill the charm of cricket!

In an effort to make the game of cricket, more tech-friendly, ICC is killing the charm of a wonderful game. The latest effort is through the umpire review system. May be, this new thing will work well during the controversial runouts or catches. But it's too much to expect the technology to be a perfect judge of LBW decisions.
And we're killing the human element in umpiring.
